This assembly consists of a handle, pre-amp, housing, covers, exposure switch assemblies and hardware. The handle itself consists of a handle sleeve floating around a central stationary support into which hall effect sensors are permanently mounted (hall effect = N/S magnet passing by a transducer to provide a variable voltage output). Operator hand commands applied to the handle sleeve are mechanically transferred into the central handle mechanism and create push or pull forces on the force sensors. One hall effect sensor detects vertical forces (up and down) and a second hall effect sensor detects horizontal forces (left and right). Both of these sensor assemblies are aligned mechanically (forces applied to handle) and electrically (electrical output proportional to force applied) to obtain proper operation of the power assist system. Additionally, the handle provides separate banks of Fluoroscopy and Prep/Expose switches. These switches allow the common (+24VDC) to pass on to the system when they are depressed. This assembly can be used with 40CM ISFD system. β Replacement Part
